    Came in on a Thursday night and we were able to get seated with a table of four. It was my husband and I's first time, and we were so surprised by how delicious and tender the meat was! We typically go to ayce kbbq, and I feel like typically the meat quality is the same and not top tier since it's ayce, but here we were so astonished by the texture and char on the meat! I really enjoyed the spicy tuna volcano and tayaki! My friend who has come here before many times, did mentioned that they felt like the meat portion has become less and that their garlic noodles tasted better before. We enjoyed the ponzu and spicy sauce, but I wish they had more options. Overall, can't wait to go back here!

    Easily made a reservation on a Tuesday night. Came here with my 2 sisters and step mom. We did the bbq course for 2, then added on some additional meats and sides. Not AYCE, but I feel like that makes the quality of meats a little better. Check out this place for Japanese bbq if you're in the peninsula!

    Went to dinner with family tonight and Lily was our server. She went above and beyond, kind, along with providing great service. The food was delicious. Everything came out fast and great tasting. The ambiance was lively and had a great experience with my family. I definitely will be back.

    I haven't been to these type of restaurants in a very long time. But i do remember that the food is always good and this place was no different. We were celebrating a college graduation and the Graduate chose this restaurant...located in downtown San Mateo. There were 13 of us and our reservation was for 8pm. The ceremony ended earlier than expected so we arrived at about 7:00 p.m. They were able to sit us down by about 7:15pm...it's a good thing cause we were all pretty hungry. To speed up the process, while waiting, They had us ordered what different kind of meats we wanted. Unfortunately, they were STILL a little slow in getting the meats to us and VERY slow in getting the rice out to us. We had already finished cooking all the meats and still no rice...WTH, they should know better than that...we're Asians, rice is a must...how hard is it to scoop up rice. We finally had to flag them down to get the rice to us. But once they got it together, the meats and rice kept coming. They were busy but not busy enough to be that slow. I can't remember all the different types of meats we ordered but they were all very good along with the sauces. It's a nice place for gathering of family and friends. Since it's a downtown location, the area is pretty busy and finding parking can be tough. The food was really good but the service needs improvement.
